installation is easy
We designed our system to be plug-and-play with an installation time between one to three hours. Our average installation time is 90 minutes. We don’t cut wires and we don’t void any OEM warranties. To complete the installation, we have the technician run a software check to be sure that the installation is completed correctly so you don’t get stuck in the middle of nowhere with a system that doesn’t work.

WHAT IS IDLE SMART?
Idle Smart is a proprietary automated engine start-stop solution that reduces fleets’ fuel consumption as well as vehicle downtime caused by dead batteries and cold start conditions.
IS IDLE SMART AN AUXILIARY POWER UNIT (APU)?
No. Idle Smart uses the vehicle’s engine and existing HVAC to heat and cool the cabin, charge batteries, and warm the engine and fuel lines. With Idle Smart, there’s no second power unit, no extra maintenance, and no extra weight.
DO I NEED TO TURN ON IDLE SMART EACH DAY?
No. Idle Smart is automatically engaged when the key is placed in the “Off” position or out of the ignition altogether. As a result, drivers do not need to do anything to enable Idle Smart. This allows fleets to get the maximum benefit from Idle Smart without adding any more work to a driver’s day.
DOES IDLE SMART AUTOMATICALLY MONITOR BATTERY VOLTAGE LEVELS?
Yes. Idle Smart’s Battery Protect™ continuously monitors both main and auxiliary battery voltage levels and will automatically start the vehicle and run it until the desired voltage level or state of charge is reached.
DOES IDLE SMART PROTECT AGAINST COLD STARTS DURING COLD WEATHER MONTHS?
Yes. Because Idle Smart continuously monitors engine temperature, Idle Smarts Cold Weather Guard™ will automatically start and run the vehicle until the engine reaches an appropriate operating range (e.g., 140 degrees).
